LUIS APARICIO THE GREAT IS MY HERO FOR HIS GREAT ACHIEVEMENTS ALL THROUGH HIS CAREER IN SPORTS.

Luis Ernesto Aparicio Montiel (n. Maracaibo, 29 de abril de 1934) es un beisbolista venezolano que jugó en las Grandes Ligas del Béisbol entre 1956 y 1973. Hijo del también jugador Luis Aparicio Ortega, conocido como El Grande de Maracaibo.

Among his greatest achievements are the lead in stolen bases in the American League nine consecutive years, with a total of 506 stolen bases in his career and be winning the World Series with the Orioles in 1966.

At the time of his retirement, Aparicio was the all-time leader in games played, assists and double plays for a major league shortstop and other records

He received numerous accolades during his career including his participation in 10 games for the stars and nine Gold Gloves.

Luis Aparicio was elected to the Hall of Fame baseball in 1984 and was so far the only Venezuelan to achieve the feat.
